Walk and date flexibility - you choose your starting date and fine tailor the itinerary to suit your own aspirations. You can choose recognised long distance routes or choose a walk & explore tour of various parts of Scotland, where you to choose your own walks from a range of suggestions.
Small Green Footprints
All our independent walking tours are planned to utilise local transport options thus greatly minimising your Carbon footprint.
It saves the hassle of driving around and allows you to enjoy the landscapes, people, flavour and atmosphere of more of Scotland.
Depending upon the holiday you choose, there may also be sightseeing options available.
All our holidays include:
- Accommodation
- Transport as specified
- Baggage transfers if required

As many of these holidays take place in areas where accommodation is limited, early booking is strongly recommended.
These holidays are ideally suited to group sizes up to about 6. If you have a larger group we may need to make a few changes to the normal itinerary so please contact us before booking.
Of course if none of these holidays are what you are looking for, we are happy to provide tailor made holidays designed specially for you to your own requirements. Tell us what you want and leave us to do the planning for you.

Accommodation Options
On most of our independent walking holidays we offer a choice of accommodation.
Standard
Our standard packages are usually based on hostel / budget accommodation. This is usually in shared bunkrooms with separate male and female rooms. Occasionally accommodation may be mixed. If you are booking with a partner and would prefer a mixed room please let us know when you book, although this cannot be guaranteed. A few private rooms may be available on request for a small surcharge but these are extremely limited and must be booked well in advance. Please ask before booking.
Hostels normally have self-catering facilities allowing you the choice of preparing your own meals or eating out in a local pub / hotel.
Temporary SYHA (Scottish Youth Hostel Association) membership is included where required.
Superior
Our Superior packages are generally based on guest house accommodation. Twin (two separate beds) and double (1 bed for 2 people) rooms are available. A limited number of single rooms are available for a supplement. If you require more than one single room per booking, please contact us before placing your booking. Rooms will be ensuite where possible although this cannot always be guaranteed especially for single rooms.
Premier
Our Premier holiday packages use either hotel or 4 star guest house accommodation. Twin (two separate beds) and double (1 bed for 2 people) rooms are available. A limited number of single rooms are available for a supplement. If you require more than one single room per booking, please contact us before placing your booking. Rooms are usually ensuite.
Highlands and Skye Explorer
A 7 night exploration of Scotland with the opportunity to undertake some classic rail journeys through the Highlands. The itinerary is flexible so you can choose walks to suite your ability or opt for easier days sightseeing. 8 days with 7 nights accommodation.

West Coast Islands
New for this year is this 4 night short break based in Oban on Scotland’s west coast. Oban is an attractive ferry port often referred to as the "Gateway to the Isles".
West Highland Way
A challenging 95 mile route, walked over 7 days, from Milngavie just outside Glasgow, to Fort William at the base of Ben Nevis, via Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor and the Devil's Staircase. The gradually changing landscapes are forever memorable. The West Highland Way is also available as part of our group departures programme as a guided tour. 8 days with 7 nights accommodation.
Great Glen Way
A fine 77 miles walk linking Fort William on Loch Linnhe to Inverenss on the Beauly Firth via Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Plenty of opportunities to spot Nessie, the elusive Loch Ness Monster! 5 days with 6 nights accommodation.
St. Cuthberts Way
Always interesting, 62 mile stroll from Melrose in the Scottish Borders, to Lindisfarne on Holy Island off the North East coast of England. A journey steeped in historic and religious interest. 6 days with 5 or 6 nights accommodation.
Kintyre Way
The most recently created long distance trail in Scotland, this 90 miles always interesting route, pokes into hidden corners and thoroughly gets to know the quiet Mull of Kintyre peninsula.
