Taken at an easy pace, this 62 mile walking holiday along St Cuthberts Way from Melrose to Holy Island is a walk through the spiritual and historic life of the Borders.
Walking along St Cuthberts Way we pass through Melrose Abbey, the times of St Cuthbert, Trimontium, Dere Street and Roman road building, the lands of the Border rievers and St Cuthbert's Cave, will all become familiar. Journey's end on the walk is Lindisfarne, and we finish in the time honoured way across the Pilgrims' Ford.
St Cuthberts Way follows tracks, paths and country roads with the longest days probably being the 3rd and 4th but no problem to those who pace themselves sensibly.
We are offering a choice of accommodation type on this route either 6 nights hotel and guest house with breakfast or 5 nights hostel with no meals included.
Start: Melrose
Finish: Berwick Railway station – late afternoon/early evening, dependent upon tide times

Day 1: Arrive Melrose and settle into your accommodation
Days 2 – 7: Walk the St Cuthberts Way finishing at Lindisfarne
Day 7: Transfer by taxi to Berwick railway station

Day 1: Arrive in Melrose, take your bag to your Melrose accommodation and walk to St Boswells. Return to Melrose for the night.
Days 2 – 6: Walk the remainder of the St Cuthberts Way finishing at Lindisfarne
Day 6: Transfer by taxi to Berwick railway station
