Self Guided Holiday Extensions

Extend your holiday in Scotland for a few extra days planning your own explorations. We'll arrange the accommodation, neccessary transport and provide you with a dossier of tantalising information.

There are three suggestions this year which can be reached after many of our trips.

Barra and Vatersay

Barra and Vatersay

The island of Barra is only 5 miles wide and 8 miles long. The neighbouring island of Vatersay is linked by causeway. The culture is very different and the scenery is stunning.

Mallaig and the Small Isles

Mallaig and the Small Isles

Mallaig, a small west coast fishing village, is the perfect base for trips out to the Small Isles of Rum, Eigg, Muck and Canna, the "Misty Isle of Skye" and the "Rough Bounds of Knoydart".

Glasgow or Edinburgh City Break

Glasgow or Edinburgh City Break

These two contrasting cities are ideal for a short break. As the European City of Culture in 1990, Glasgow has a host of art galleries and theatres as well as being the UK’s second shopping city and having a vibrant night life. Edinburgh, meanwhile, offers unrivalled opportunities for site-seeing, with its World Heritage status Old Town, and the Georgian splendour of its New Town.
